Would be really helpful if anyone can help out.

I have a Flandria SP547 that has been in my garage for over 30 years - but just cleaned it up and got it going. Seems to be working well. It has never been registered for road use, so I'm now trying to get an MOT for it, but MOT station needs to know year of manufacture so the they know what testing criteria to use.

The serial number is 15638.

Does anyone know of a SP547 with a serial number not too far from my serial number? MOT station might accept the age of my bike as comparable to yours.

Hi, welcome to this forum. Unfortunately I do not own a SP547, but during the 70's Flandria mentioned the model year into the model type by switching the last two numbers. So in case of a SP547 you switch 4 and 7 and you become 74. So production year is 1974. It's an unwritten rule, but it can help you getting your Flandria true the MOT.
